What is Clincal Herbalism?

Clinical herbal medicine is offered through an integrative approach and lense, weaving together ancient and traditional plant wisdom with modern, science-based knowledge and research.

This is a gentle and personalized space of support for processes of healing, balance, and wellbeing — for both simple, everyday imbalances and deeper, more complex conditions.

Herbal care may stand on its own or accompany other forms of treatment and support, conventional or alternative.

Herbal medicine is holistic at heart, viewing the human being as an interconnected whole of — body, mind, heart, spirit and connection to the wider web of life.

Through deep listening, relationship, and the living medicines of the earth, herbalism seeks to support the body’s natural movement toward healing and balance.

About the Journey

Following a short conversation to connect and see if the work feels aligned, we will meet in clinic for a deeper consultation — a space to listen, observe, and gently uncover what is asking for care and support.

I will listen to your story, and together we will explore the layers that brought you here, while taking in the wider picture of your health and wellbeing.

Through attentive observation, existing diagnoses, and traditional herbal assessment, we will work to understand the root and deeper nature of the imbalance. From there, I will create personalized herbal protocols and plant medicine formulations in various forms, alongside any additional recommendations or supportive practices that may be needed.

The path of Herbal Medicine is gradual and deeply relational. Follow-up sessions are often part of the process, offering space to deepen, adjust, and respond to the shifts unfolding along the way.

The herbal formulas are handcrafted by me at The Fairie Apothecary, or thoughtfully sourced from trusted, high-quality herbal suppliers.

Each process is personal, unfolding differently from person to person, plant to plant, and season to season.

I am here to walk alongside you with care — to listen, support, and tend the path together.

The Clinic

We will meet in the cozy, green setting of my home clinic at The Fairie Apothecary, nestled in the artists’ village of Ein Hod — or, when the season and weather allow, in the forest clinic beneath the trees.

Following our initial meeting, and if it feels aligned and supportive, sessions may also continue online.

I'm Shir — a Clinical Herbalist and practitioner of Earth Medicine.

I weave together the medicine of the land and the human experience — as a home apothecarist, wildcraftress, forager, and facilitator of herbal teachings, retreats and courses.

I am a woman of the forest and village witch, tending gardens and walking gently upon the earth along the good green medicine road..

Having graduated a three-year Integrative Clinical Herbalism program at Broshim Campus, alongside various in-depth studies in traditional herbal medicine, natural medicine making, foraging, permaculture, and yoga teaching across Israel and around the world, today I Today, I guide and support healing processes through my clinical practice, teach herbal medicine, and craft small-batch plant remedies in my studio - The Fairie Apothecary — where I work with many herbs from the local landscape in traditional, enchanted, and modern methods of medicine making.

Within the clinic, I integrate practices from ancient traditions and diverse cultures alongside modern herbalism and my own lived experience. Through deep listening to the body, heart, mind, and the unique rhythm of each process, a gentle and grounded space of support begins to unfold — meeting each person exactly where they are on their healing journey.
